A single-herb liquid extract of dried root of Nymphaea caerulea, cold-macerated in small batches and offered either as a traditional tincture in organic sugar-cane alcohol or as a vegetable glycerite.

About the plant

The blue water lily of the Nile anchors itself in the mud with a stout dark rhizome and sends up its pads and flowers on long stalks to the surface. This extract is made from that rooting part. The flowers above it are pale blue with sharply pointed petals around a yellow centre, opening in the morning and closing again by early afternoon — a daily cycle the ancient Egyptians read as death and rebirth, which is why the plant appears on tomb walls, column capitals and, strewn in garlands, over the coffin of Tutankhamun.

No added sugar. Contains no artificial colours, preservatives or fragrances.

Suggested use

Shake well before use. Take 20–30 drops (about 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper bulb) in 2 oz of water or juice, up to 4 times daily, or as directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner.
